Zoë Fairbairns, novelist, short story writer, poet, radio writer, playwright, journalist and teacher, was born and grew up in the south of England. She was educated at St Catherine's Convent, Twickenham, the University of St Andrews, and the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg Virginia, USA. She lives in London. On these pages you will find details of her publications, and a contact page for enquiries. She is available for commissions, including factual articles, columns, reviews, interviews and short stories for themed anthologies. Her particular interests include - but are not limited to - feminism and sexual politics, contemporary writing, and religion seen from a secular viewpoint. Zoë Fairbairns has lectured at universities throughout the world including Deakin University, Australia, the University of Havana, Cuba, and the University of Minnesota, USA. She has also taught in schools, prisons and adult education. She currently teaches Short Story Writing at the City Lit in London. She is available for readings, lectures, focus groups and other events.
